I have the honor to request in accordance with instructions from Surg M.K. Hogan Surgeon in Chf. Bu R.F. & A.L. State of N.C. that a building be furnished for a Hospital for non-contagious diseases in Beaufort N.C.

I would respectfully suggest that as a suitable building for that purpose the dining rooms of the late U.S.Genl. Hospital at Morehead City N.C. 44 by 103 ft. also an office 15 by 45 ft. for a kitchen &c be removed and erected at this place
