Bvt Maj Genl State of North Carolina Genl I respectfully ask the Restoration of my lot in the Town of Beaufort N.C. now in the possession of the Freedmens Bureau and known in the plan of said town by the No of 243 O.T. Enclosed is a copy of deed from the Commissioners of said Town also Copy of Amnesty Oath I do not come within the exceptions of the Presidents Proclamation of 1865 Very Respectfully Your Obd Sert (sgd) M. Brvt Maj Genl Genl We respectfully ask the restoration of a small tract of land situated at Newport N.C. Containing [[insertion]] ( 2 1/2) [[/insertion]] two & half acres now in Possesion of the Freedmens Bureau.
