Brvt. Maj. S. N. Clark
A.A.I.G. etc.

Major:-
By a careful examination of the papers (including reports pro. & con) I do not find that [[underlined]] Mrs Haughton [[/underlined]] can bore any other name after her marriage.

Her maiden name, as appears from her marriage certificate was Miss (Laura or Loivil) McGlynn

I am inclined to the opinion She has been deeply wronged - & has been partially insane, probably in consequence of the ill-treatment She has received then shall we look over her papers?

Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Servt

Transcription Notes:
In paragraph 5 line 4, changed the phrase, "there Shall" to "then shall" as it is similar to "maiden" in the 4th paragraph.
