I then proceeded to the residence of Mr Peter Briggs Esq  Had an interview with him  he also stated that he knew no other Bakers but Alfred, Stuart and Chas his Son the painter in Fordham and asked me if I had inquired of his son in law the post Master 

Next Proceeded to Williams Bridge to enquire of the Briggs there but they did not know any thing about him either

The next place I called at was Israel Horsefield who has kept a drug store since 1857 in Fordham  asked him if he could give me any information respecting Chas Baker  he said he could not and refered me to the Butcher opposite

Had an interview with the (Butcher) T. Duffy who told me that a Chas Baker did live in Fordham some 10 or 12 Months ago but he had move to the city of New York
