Acknowledges receipt of letter from A.C.D.C.

States that for some months it will be difficult to raise sufficient money to carry on the Home, but that after a while the institution will be benefitted by the agitations of the past winter relative to the management &c.

Relief from Gen [[underlined]] Howard [[/underlined]] will be thankfully received. If the Asst Com'r would allow $3.00 pr week for the 22 children of Southern mothers and $50.00 pr month for rent of the African Civ. Building we can make the thing a complete success.
