Articles of Agreement made and entered into the fifth day of May A. D. 1868, between Brevet Major J. M. Brown, Disbursing Office Bureau Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, of the one part, and N. W. Hamilton, S. P. Wrisley, and Perry Colman, all of Washington City, District of Columbia of the other part.
This Agreement Witnesseth, That the said Brvt Major J. M. Brown, for and on behalf of the United States of America, and the said N W Hamilton, S. P. Wrisley and Perry Colman, their heirs, executors, and administrators, have covenanted and agreed and by these presents do mutually covenant and agree to and with each other as follows, namely:
First. . . . That the said N. W. Hamilton, S.P. Wrisley, and Perry Colman, their heirs, executors, and administrators, shall furnish and deliver all the window frames required in the construction of the tenement houses, now being erected by the Bureau Refugees Freemen and A Lands upon Square No 1054. Capital Hill, Washington, D. C., either at said tenement houses or elsewhere in the City of Washington, as may be designated by the Agent of the Bureau R F & A L in charge of their construction.
