Salute To Glen Curtiss By Mid Town Plaza

Mid-Town Plaza, with the help of Blanche Stuart Scott and Culver Dodge, Inc., saluted Glenn Curtiss, one of the pioneers of aviation, with a display of old time airplane parts.

Blanche Scott, as you recall, is a pioneer herself, having been the first American woman to fly and airplane in 1910. She was taught to fly by Glenn Curtiss. In the same year in a promotion for Willys-Overland, she drove a car cross the country all by herself, cranking the engine and changing her own tires.
