Announcer - Mr. Nusbaum:

Thirty years ago last month, Sept 2nd - 1910 - at Hammondsport n.Y. - The famous airplane designer and fler [[flyer]] Glenn H. Curtiss turned to his one and only women student and said - "You have done well on your first solo flight. That flight marked the beginning of women's part in aviation and was made by Blanche Staurt [[Stuart]] Scott of Rochester, N.Y. - To day, thirty years later at a luncheon in the Powers Hotel in Rochester are gathered a group of people to do honor to Miss Scott as the first woman pilot in United States. City officials, Airport officials, members of the famous Early Bird Club of which Miss Scott is a member and last and most important, Mrs. Olgivy Druce, President of the Women Flyers of America is here to represent fouteen [[fourteen]]] hundred women flyers of America in their tribute to Miss Scott. We now turn you over to Mr. Harold S.W. McFarland, Commissioner of Commerece [[sic]] of the city of Rochester who will preside at the speakers table. Mr. McFarland. ("Note) Blanche Staurt Scott was the first flyer in U.S. - Mrs. Ogilvy Druce who is not only the [[strikethrough]] first [[/strikethrough]] The president of The WomenFlyers of America but who holds the unique distinction of being the first woman to ever fly in an airplane as a passenger and her adventure antidates Miss Scott8s [[sic]] piloting by two years. On oct 7th 19 [[strikethrough]] 1 [[/strikethrough]] 08 Mrs. Druce flew as a passenger with Wilbur Wright at Le manns, France. The first time any women ever went in the air in a plane. Mrs. Druce is the newely [[newly]] elected President of the Wemn [[sic]] Flyers of America a national organization spreading like wild fir [[fire]] throughtout [[sic]] the entire United States. 
A great patriotic club combined with a great idea - Women who are willing if neccessary to give their life for their country.
