what to do. Looking to my right I saw a meteorite, drove to it and parked. Again, it was the lst of the day. Gh came & helped me. Bob went off to see what John was doing. Gh was silent & uncooperative most all day. She felt ill. Would not help Bob collect the lst flagged stove, so I did. Finally John asked me if she wasn't well--surely one could tell without her laughter & full participation. I said: "Not really." He said it was stupid to come out--Bill could have used her skidoo. We collected a few new finds & some old ones. One meteorite near a flag could not be found at all-- new snowdrifts.

Then, as we came down the slope toward the moraine, I found one but everyone else had disappeared. I collected it myself, taking quite a while. John hove into view to my far right but paid (it seemed) no mind to me. Finally I rode to the bottom & asked for his notebook to describe #1400. He accused me of not waving. I protested. Then we rode upslope to plant a flag. I had a hard time making it w. my snowmobile wheeling around, but I did it. John had stopped at

We arrived in camp ~ 5:00 & did camp chores--shovelled out a badly buried sledge & moved it. John put 2 new pairs of wheels on gh's skidoo. I stashed our 3 garbage bags at the retro site. Gh felt better at end of day.. We had Bill to supper ^& all had steak. She told me she was so tired of our food she intended not to eat until we leave. But we all had a good dinner & talk. 10:15 p. Still warm; tent flap open-- the lst time that has been possible. Wind veered to N. (altho there is no real wind). What next?

Next was a call from John ~ 8:00. There was a wind out but the day promised fair. We ahd our coffee & oatmeal, dressed & got out before 9:00. Bill talked in Ghislaine about the possibility of her staying home today -- still only 4 snowmobiles. Bill said it was the better part
