quite a tan by sitting in the sun awaiting the helo). When they came I was repacking my orange and other bags to find things and also to separate issue from personal things as far as might be! After that I lay with the ice pack (alcohol pack) on my ankle and dozed. I had no strength even for a shower, let alone a shampoo so I decided to take them right after breakfast.

I was cold in the P.M. -- put on my white Irish wool & covered myself w. my down housecoat. Later in p.m. the room got extremely hot -- typical of Mammoth Mt. Inn. Engineer went tramping through to fix the heater -- heavy-footed, shaking the floor.

Beef (stewed) & noodles w gravy, mixed vegetables, a roll, jello (fruit) strawberry shortcake, lettuce w French dressing. Very good & plenty - even tho I had had no lunch at all.

However, he is not jumping here because, on a previous jump, the crosswind caught him and he landed on his tail bone. He told me to take plenty of vitamins to help my bone heal -- that I will do OK because: "you're an active lady, and you're tough." "You are tough." I wondered how he knew.

Finally the lights went off & I to sleep. Incidentally, I am wearing blue cotton pyjamas the pants of which are about 40" around. Keeping them up is a serious problem.
