for me. The hour went slowly but not unpleasantly. We had sack lunches... I actually had 2 of them because both Spletsloener & Clark got them for me. About 11:45 I had 2 or 3 bites of a ham & cheese sandwich & half a small can of apple juice. I was still comfortable but by no means hungry.

My camera bag was on the top of the heap right in front of me. So finally I swapped the ice [[?]] outside & the scene inside the Herc. Clark came by all wired-up as a crewman & sat on the cabin steps< I had him take a couple of shots of me, (Stover took me in the hospital).

No water in toilet or basin. But a great improvement none-the-less.

The Corporal led me down the steps & across the pavement past what looked like an ambulance. I told him one was waiting for me & he said it would pick me up at the outer door -- we had to go thru immigration & customs. (No sign of Clarke all the time). As we landed, so did a huge commercial liner, so lines were very long. I got thru immigration fairly easily, then sat for a long time waiting for my bags. Finally they came and the Corporal grabbed
