Kendall Green July 6th 66 Genl C.H Howard Genl' I have the honor to report good progress in the preparation of tenaments for Freedmen at this encampment. I have finished & rented (at $2,50 each), some 1/2 doz' rooms and have twice the No. nearly ready. I am in immediately need of the following, to proceed with, and finish the work. One keg 100 lb's ten penny nails. [[strikethrough]] Four 1/2 [[/strikethrough]] 3 1/2 doz' pairs of butts, or hinges with screws. [[strikethrough]] Four 1/2 [[/strikethrough]] 3 1/2 doz' locks, with tags marking the No.'s Ten bunches of lath. Ten lb's Shingle, or lath nails. Four keys for locks on hand.
