I most respectfully desire to apply for the building belonging to your bureau & now the only one standing on the corner of 14 & M Street.

It was formerly used as a Stable & Guard house &c.

I want it to extend the accommodation and number of beds for the wives & widows of soldiers & sailors. if the above request is granted we can receive twenty more patients than we can with our present room —
