Sir

I respectfully ask that a sufficient amount of lumber be sent to Hyattsville Station, Prince George Co. Md. to build a School House 25x50 feet, and that this lumber include, shingles, planed flooring, ready made doors & windows & their frames.  [[strikethrough]] And I ask that $50.00 be appropriated for the purpose of aiding the Colored People in erecting this Building, if after faithful effort to raise the money, it is found that this Amount is needed.  [[/strikethrough]]  The School, of over fifty Children, is now held in a Building not fit for a stable, & which cannot be repaired.  The people have secured an acre of land and are ready to go on with the work.
