States that it is reported that certain parties are committing depredations on buildings 24th & "F" Sts. recently turned over to the Bureau.

That he is directed by the Chief Depot Quartermaster, to suggest that steps be taken to properly guard said buildings.

Respectfully returned. Before any injury was inflicted upon these Buildings, they had been turned over to the Pa FR Asso for school purposes. Afterward a Mrs Lee was permitted to occupy the school Building for a Sabbath School. I depended upon the Society & Miss Lee to preserve the Buildings from harm. After my return from a month's absence, I found that since the admission of the Sab School, some white rowdy boys had inflicted some injury upon the Buildings, though previous to the school the Buildings had been entirely empty and without a guard about two months without injury.
