AM. Mary Caudle - fourth sitting. Almost finished. Looks well framed. Before lunch to carpenter to pick up Lucy's frame & box to ship canvas in. Worked after lunch for another hour on Mary & touched up Lucy's frame.

6.30 The reception Louis and Dorothy are giving for Bob will have U Nu present. This is an unusual honor because, I understand, he visits no private

Wonderful party - U Nu came early, promptly at 6.30 - when very few people had as yet arrived. Complimented me in my white dress, told me that my trip to Pagan had evidently agreed with me. Will pose for me on the 6th of March - asked how I had liked Pagan & was sorry I had missed the sitting on the 24th. He was most charming & I was pleased to feel he likes me.

Monday, Feb. 28.
AM - Finished Black & white of Mrs. Gor-Booth.
P.M. Lucy Hla Maung came to say goodbye again & brought me a gift. - One large & 6 small smoky topaz - which she knew I wanted to buy for Emily. It was terribly sweet of her & I was moved to tears.
