me after I had landed. His first remark was, "You owe me a new suit of clothes." "How do toy figure that I owe you a suit of clothes?" "You called down for me to save you, and I have been trying to save you and tore my clothes on the barbed wire fence, so you've got to buy me a new suit of clothes."
Baldwin put in an appearance at this juncture and said, "we will pay for a suit of clothes for this boy, he thought he was saving your life and we do not want to discourage him in his belief."

She became quite excited when she found who we were. We enjoyed playing card games with her, Bridge of course. I do not remember her name, but recall her being a very delightful person. We received an invitation to have Christmas dinner at her home in Pasadena, Baldwin accepted at once, not intending to keep the date. On arrival at Los Angeles she was met by her husband and daughter, we were introduced and again the invitation was extended.

After washing and cleaning up a bit, we had a pleasant ride over to their home and had a wonderful dinner. During the meal she asked if we would do her the favor of flying over to her home and make a landing in her back yard. I would not know one from another"
