Something was wrong with the motor it would not start. The [[strikethrough]] carbueter [[/strikethrough]] carburetor was flooded and had to be taken apart and cleaned. Finally it started and after it ran for a moment we started the trip. I gained 1000 feet altitude and sailed down over the city of Brockton and then back again. I could see the [[?]] faces upturned as I approached for a landing.
My crew was read, and as soon as I stopped the motor, the boys pulled me off the machine and started a parade with me on the shoulders of two of the tallest men I have ever seen outside of a circus. After tireing of this sport, I was invited to partake of some of their choice "Stretch". I explained that I was a non-drinker and settled for a bottle of coca-cola.
All of my worry in vain, but I was a mighty thankful boy hat [[?]] night as I finally [[?]] [[strikethrough]] got to [[/strikethrough]] for sleep.
The Fair Officials were very happy. I received many visitors at my tent, among them was State and County officials. Tuesday the opening day was a busy day for me, I made four flights and was kept busy meeting visitors at the tent. Each of the four days was the same as the opening day.
One of the attractions that interested me was the loopimg [[looping]] automobile. A steel structure was erected to serve as a track & the auto was placed on this track and by aid of black and tackle [[strikethrough]] the auto [[/strikethrough]] was pulled up the incline to the top. when released the auto plenged [[plunged]] down the [[strikethrough]] icl [[/strikethrough]] incline and on reaching the bottom the front wheels drop off the track and the rear wheels are given a lift which causes the auto to describe a loop and on reaching[[strikethrough]]a[[/strikethrough]] normal position, the auto landed [[strikethrough]] lands [[/strikethrough]] on a platform.
