EXPANDING OUR BUSINEDD
  Strobel was doing well with Hamilton and their reports indicated a very profitable business. I became convinced that it would pay to add five or six more machines for the season of 1907. The contract between Strobel and myself would expire October 31, 1906, and as the expense of adding the new machines and new pilots would fall upon me, I made a careful survey of the fairs in an effort to secure contracts so that the bookings would be continuous and not interfere with each other.
  I found that it would be necessary to have five additional airships and five pilots to fill the dates secured. during equipment the winter of 1906-1907 we constructed the new XXXXXXXXXX with an extra ship for each pilot for use in case of XX some unforeseen accident.
