and realized the advantage taken of the Wright Brothers, I became furious with him and the next time I met Curtiss I told him what I thought.  He told me to mind my own business, that it was his business, not mine.  I told him that being a member [[strikethrough]]now[[/strikethrough]] of the Wright Company and being an associate of the Wright Brothers that it happened to be my business too.  Later on in 1915 or 1916, Orville became so discouraged due to his illness that he sold the Wright Company outright.
     After the sale, I was engaged by Mr. Clark Jennison, part of the new organization, to come to New York and occupy the offices of the Wright Company.  He promised me a position as vice-president with a salary of $25,000 a year.  On arrival in New York he said he would have to make a temporary arrangement with me.  He told me to put up at the hotel and they would pay the bill and pay me $500 per month.  I was in a position where I virtually had to accept for I had agreed with Orville that I would keep him informed of every move these men made as they had agreed with him that the stock would not be put on the market and juggled as was customary.
     Practically the first thing they did was to reorganize the Wright Company, raise the capital stock from one million to five million dollars and place it on the stock exchange.
