Mr. Glenn A. Knabenshue
5547 Shoup Ave
Woodland Hills, California 91364

Dear Mr. Knabenshue:

As I mentioned in my letter of April 7, 1967 to you, I have been working to bring together in a typed rough draft form the history of your father and his outstanding contributions to aviation. As I mentioned, this material will serve as the basis for a chapter on A. Roy Knabenshue in a book I am writing on the aviation pioneers enshrined in the Aviation Hall of Fame.

When you read this manuscript I am sure that you will recognize that there are many of the interesting and intimate details of your father's life which are missing. However, the manuscript does represent over two years work and the use of over forty different references. This is the reason why I am anxious to see your father's memoirs. I believe that the information which they contain will enable me to do justice to your father's life story. Also, a review of the slides will probably clear up many details.

I would appreciate if you and other members of your family would review the manuscript and indicate any errors which you may find. Please return the corrected manuscript to me as soon as your are finished with it.

With kindest personal regards,
Sincerely,
JamesWJacobs
