Mr. E. R. Fryer, Supt,.
Navajo Reservation,
Window Rock, Arizona.

Dear Mr. Fryer:

The Park service finally decided to dispose of all our Aeronautic equipment. As you are getting the Fairchild, we concluded to include the two Autogiros, five engines, spare parts and spare propellers as well. After a conference with Mr. Alexander, we had a very pleasant interview with Mr. Greenwood, and it was then decided to acquire the entire outfit, subject to your acceptance.

I also suggested to Mr. Greenwood that I would like to work for the Indian Service, and he is giving the matter consideration.

I have gained the impression that you and your Reservation will be the headquarters for considerable Aeronautic activity.

You no doubt have received the drawings for a new Hangar. One 60 x 60 feet, the other 80 x 80 feet, may I suggest that in view of future possibilities, you build one with an 80 foot door and extend it back 100 feet, you will doubtless need all of this space.

I have requested two Lycoming Motors for your Stearman, and in case the Autogiro propellers fit your motor, you will have five or six extra propellers.

England is getting the bulk of all Airplanes being turned out here, old equipment is at a premium, and right now is very hard to get, however, I am on the job, and will get whatever is possible for you.

With kindest regards,

Roy Knabenshue,
