MEMORANDUM for the Manager:
Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area.

This will reply to your memorandum of November 27, which reached us on December 1, in which you requested advice on the shipment of aviation equipment destined for the Indian Service.

A recent decision has been reached to crate and prepare for shipment at the Manteo Project the autogiro now located there. At the same time, and we presume in the same box car, other aviation supplies for the Navajo Indian reservation can be shipped. Aviation supplies already sent to the Richmond Battlefield Area can be sent along with the autogiro now stored there.

It is important that we receive promptly three sets of transfer forms, one set to cover the shipment of the Fairchild and accessories from Manteo to Washington, one set to cover the shipment of the autogiro and accessories from Manteo to the Navajo Indian reservation at Window Rock, Arizona. Please send the three complete sets of transfer forms to Region One Headquarters for further handling.

Washington, we understand, is sending a representative to assist in expediting the shipment of the aviation supplies from Richmond and Manteo.
