letter from Frida Kahlo December 1940:

(Typed in spanish)

Emilucha linda:

I received your two notes, thank you so much, companera. I'm anxious that you finish all the work so you'll both come to Mexicalpán de las Tunas. What wouldn't I give to be only around the corner so I could visit you today, but it's far away and impossible - I have to be patient. I miss you very much...Tell Donald that I miss him very much and that I will write him a letter. Don't forget me, and ...tell the nino-grande (Diego) not to lose his temper so much and to behave himself. I count the days and hours until I have you both here...Insist that Diego see the oculist in Los Angeles. And that he doesn't eat too much spagetti so he won't get too fat....

your twin
   Frida
