5. Feminist Studio Workshop
The Feminist Studio Workshop is an intensive, college-level program in the visual, performance, and language arts.  Members are committed not only to developing their capabilities as artists, but to using those capabilities to transform our culture.  Members of The Woman's Building are welcome to propose projects involving groups of women from The Feminist Studio Workshop in collaborative work of all kinds.

Present members of The Feminist Studio Workshop Collective Faculty are designer Sheila de Bretteville, art historian Ruth Iskin, performance artist Suzanne Lacy, novelist and poet Deena Metzger, art historian Arlene Raven, and graphic artist Helen Roth.

During the three years since its founding, The Feminist Studio Workshop has educated 105 full-time students from the United States, Canada, and Europe in art, environmental, and language-related fields.  It offers one and two year programs with BA, MA, MFA, and Ph.D. degrees available through affiliation with several colleges including Goddard, Antioch, and International College.  Approximately 1500 local women have participated in a wide range of courses, workshops and special programs offered to the community at large through the Extension Program at The Woman's Building.
