the Joan Snyder Gallery, a rental exhibit space.

The media sector of the building includes the Video Project and the Slide Registry Library.  The Video Project is a clearinghouse of independent media production by women from all over the country.  It has also developed video documentation of leading women creators who have lectured, performed or read at the Woman's Building.  The Video Project is an independent producer and distributor of video productions on women's issues.  The Slide Registry Library houses slides of the work of women artists across the nation and contains thorough documentation of the history of the Woman's Building and its various gallery exhibitions.  These slides are available for rental to schools, universities and researchers of multi-media presentations.

The performance space on the third floor is slso available for public us and has been host to conferences, theater productions, political rallies and dances.  Several of the important national conferences focused on Women and Health, Women ad Sports, Women Writers, and Women and Science Fiction.

The Woman's Building is a public center for women's culture and the training ground for women in the arts who want to act effectively in the world.
