A complete archiving of the Woman's Building as a five year tested model for changing liberal arts education to both include and help generate female perspectives and the implementation of structures to allow for the sharing of these materials with other institutions. This archive would include all educational materials produced as well as documentation of student work. It would represent a valuable historical library to both students and educators. 

The creation of a greater quantity and quality of educational resource materials to be used as instructional aids in feminist education. 

The development of Program (class) sharing and liason with other educational institutions offering expanded learning opportunities to women students at the Building and elsewhere. 

An observed effect the seed projects have had is the encouragement and creation of women's culture- books, paintings, dance, video tapes, plays- and making visible that "culture" to the public where women and women's consciousness are grossly underrepresented in the Arts. 

Description of Proposed Project 

In existence for five years, the Woman's Building goal has been the full creation of a feminist based education for students in the liberal arts- particularly for women in the Arts who have not been adequately served or encouraged by existing modes of Art education. A full time administrator would oversee the development and expansion of existing programs (curriculum), their conversion into revenue generating training/apprenticeship projects, and would implement methods of cost-effectiveness and sound financial planning for all programs. Besides effecting liasons with other educational institutions (program sharing), this administrator would also oversee five, full salary "core" process instructors who would also be responsible for the generation of archive and other educational materials. Additional instructors would continue to be paid through tuitions and support staff would continue to consist of C.E.T.A. and students on work-study programs.

A 3/4 salary recruitment officer would work with the administrator to develop a professional quality catalogue representing the educational programs and would be responsible for its distribution to libraries and schools. In addition, this recruitment officer would develop other promotional communications and vehicles (such as purchasing mailing lists and [strikethrough] purchasing [strikethrough] relevant advertising pace) through which potential students will have the opportunity
