According to instructions from Rev Mr Holmes — Sec'y of the Commission — I give below an account of my expenses.

The understanding was with me that I was to charge nothing for my time — either to the Bureau or Com — and that the Bureau would bear my expenses:

R. R. Ticket & Sleeping two night $27.50
Hotel from Saturday to Monday at Clevd. O. & meals on Road 10.50
Hotel expenses at Washington 6 days to Monday next 21 -

My Expenses returning — beside transportation will be about 7 50/100. I respectfully request that the Bureau refund me the above before I return & oblige
