Vol 2 No 1388 A.C.D.C 1867 Washington March 20 1867. Columbia Dist. of Brown, J. M. Bt. Major & C.Q.M. Requests a Copy of the Order (if any has been issued) granting Capt Stockbridge the use of the frame building, near Campbell Hospital, lateley purchased by Maj. Brown, in accordance with verbal instructions from Gen. C. H. Howard, or authority in writing to take possession of the building as he is responsible for it, and desires to place it in charge of a Watchman. Recd A.C.D.C. March 20/67. L R Book #708. No authority has been given from these Head Quarters for any one to occupy the building within mentioned. Maj Brown will be held responsible for the proper care of the same.
