Colonel,

I have the honor to request information as to the occupant of the frame building near Campbell Hospital purchased by me in accordance with verbal instructions Gen. C H Howard from Col. Geo. W. Wallace 12th U.S. Infantry said building being lately used by Col. Wallace as his quarters.

I am informed by a colored man living on the premises that a Capt. Stockbridge is about to move in.

I would respectfully request a copy of the order (if any has been issued) granting the use of the building to any one, or authority
