States that the rent for that portion of her house No 132 Penna. Ave. occupied by Maj. Brown of the Freedmens Bureau has been left unpaid, and requests that the same be paid at the rate of $50 per month.

Dear Sir,
The Quarter Master's Dept. have left the payment of the rent of that portion of our house No 132. Penn. Avenue, occupied by Major Brown, to your Bureau, and my purpose in addressing you this morning, is, to remind you of a conversation we had upon this subject, some time since, when you were so good as to give me a note of introduction to the Qr. Master with the promise that your action in the premises should be guided by his. - The 1st story, occupied by Major Brown, was admitted by him to be the better part of the house and the Signal office are now paying
