Referring to your communication of 5th instant relative to the price of carts required to fill the requisition of the Disbursing Officer at Charleston, S. C., and stating that they cannot be purchased in this city in open market for less than ($90) ninety dollars each, &c., you are respectfully informed that the price in the Charleston market is ($120 #) one hundred and twenty dollars, and therefore it still deemed most economical to purchase them here and ship them to Charleston as directed by communication of 12th ulto.
