I have the honor hereby to inform you that our repairs are progressing finely. The chapel is completed; So far as the builder (Mr J.S. Stevens is concerned. This bill amounts to ($468.89/100) Four Hundred Sixty eight Dollars and eighty nine cents. As per enclosed bill. Mr Stevens stated to me this morning, that he was exceedingly short of money; even to pay men with: and requested me to write you; with hope that a draft or check might be sent on with as little, delay, as may be compatible with your numerous engagements.
