Articles of Agreement
made this 30th day of July 1867
between Rev. H. M. Wilson Superintendent of the home for freed children Brooklyn party of the first part and J S Stevens party of the second part both of the City of Brooklyn

The same party of the second part agrees to build extension to the building known as the Chapel of the African Civilization Societys Building situated on Dean Street near Troy Avenue Brooklyn  Said extension to be 16 feet by 30 feet of two storys in height  said storys to be first 8 feet in clear of beams  second to be 7 ft - 6 in clear of beams with a loft over. said loft to be floored as far under the roof as convenient for use and have a window in each peak  each of the other storys to have four windows each  two of first story windows to be taken out of rear of
