Asks the removal of two small buildings, - one on "I" St. cor. 17" st. - one on "K" St cor 17" St. - as they render impracticable an improvement provided for by Act of the Boards of Common Council and Aldermen, the Mayor being unwilling to advertise for proposals for the work while they remain as they are

Respectfully referred to Bt. Major Maj. J.M. Brown D.O. who will please cause the removal of the intelligence office Cor 17th & I sts. to the opposite side of 17th St. from where it now stands — putting it next to the Carpenter shop — being space enough to pass to the stairway between the buildings — and clearing the Street on the West.
