Dear Raymond:

Your letter of March 13th. even it was a long time coming, but, cannot blame you for tardiness with that shakey feeling hanging on.

Wanted to take Mother on some kind of a trip on her birthday; gave her the choice of going to Boston (Merry Go Round, Copley Plaza) or Highland House at Springfield; it was a perfect day, and we started for Springfield; about the time we got to Palmer, got a slight mist, but thought it was caused by a splash from another car, but, a short time later it was snowing like blazes. Had a few drinks and a very nice dinner and started for Framingham. A good time was had by all. Esther and the boy friend were going to Southbridge, Mass. Sunday; Mother went along so far as Worcester to call on Aunt Vit. It was another perfect day until 5 PM, after which we had plenty of snow and rain. I tell her she is some hoodoo on the weather.

I agree with you on the mortgages, but have not been able to collect and more than Hills, thus far. Usual letters have been mailed to Galvin. and Howard. which interest will be due in less than two weeks. Have asked both to place elsewhere to allow liquidation of trust. Howard. will not pay, but, can spend the whole winter in Fla.

I enclose usual liquidation slip for your signature. Mother is willing to accept the $400.00 Natick Co-operative Bank shares as previously, which will clean up that asset as far as the trust is concerned.

O.K. on your income tax return. Our returns are all right as far as I know, but, if we don't get out of this corporation standing, as far as the U.S. is concerned; If we are able to sell any property, with the depreciation allowed, and, income rate charged by then, about 14% without deductions. It will be a case of thinking you are making some money but you aint.
