happened that all the slips covering collections made by me were at hand; this includes yours: I turned these over to the Curate.

Phil has not got a job as yet. In regards to Lill being so hard up, also, when did you make the proposition of her doing the estate work ? As for as being hard up is concerned would state that my income has not been so big that I could afford to loaf. Lill is possibly better off than you or myself: No rent to pay for a nice home, the only taxes are on property which is paying income, also two daughters who earn very good pay at the present time. I presume her shortage is possibly on account of the monthly payments made on her mortgage; this is not in any Co-op Bank, and might be made in two or three months instead of one. Think I have written enough about this, except, that the cost of gas oil and running the car on estate business takes damn near all I am getting out of it. If someone else does the clerical work,it will mean to show how its done, which will mean that I will have to do the same amount of work plus.

Mother stated that she had received a letter from Ruth this morning that states that all were in good health, Dont blame you for being sore on the M. D.

My vacation plans are limited to two or three days at one time. Had planned to take a flying trip to Sherbrooke and Montreal leaving about 4AM Friday to arrive in Montreal the same day returning Sunday. Invited Mother to make this nonstop trip, she stated that a change of any kind w would suit her. I think it is too hot to make the trip, but we might take a short trip at random on these same days, but not so many miles. Of course this trip is planned at this time on account of a church party on Thursday (Flag raising) Friday and Saturday(Field days) take a chance here and there, buy this and buy that, which you would have no use for.

Your brother,
Bill.
