In carrying passengers there Lt. Rankin the International's new pilot run the Avro into a stone wall and spoiled the propeller and undercarriage, so that we are temporarily out of a machine. However it might have been worse. The machine should be ready in a day or two. In the mean time we are having perfect summer weather and the straws are blossoming out.
We have given or promised to give Mayall two shares of stock and fifty dollars for his Cadillac Coupe. The bus will require about 150.00 to put in running condition, but we feel that it is worth while as we are sure of being able to sell it for more than five hundred dollars, if we have to. In the mean time it will help us save taxi fares to Weston, and give us a lift in other directions.
The crowds were so heavy last Sunday that we feel it necessary to put up some stakes and a rope to keep the people out of the way of the machines. We shall do this when we start operating, in earnest. Wills and his gang are still here and state they expect to stay another week.
Hoping this finds you well, we are
