aerodrome and a steel hangar and is about two miles from Woods Hole where the president is to summer. However, this party, Howard, who says he has the concession wants us to pay him 10% of our net earnings, and also pay the town of Falmouth $700 which he owes them for maintainance of hangar and grounds or some such obligation. Outside of the 10% and 700 dollar item , it might be a very good proposition, for the reason that rides could be given visitors over the President's summer home for about twenty five dollars per ride, for at least three months. There isn't a doubt but what people will come from all over New England by motor car and otherwise to get a glimpse of the Crane Estate, and an aircraft company should do a land office business. However, we are investigating this offer, and Banks may run down to Falmouth to see the town officials about it. If we take it up it would mean that we would have to secure more capital and an additional machine, but it would be worth it, we feel sure, providing we could get the concession on good terms.
Another thing we have in mind as a side issue is this. From the Navy Catalogue we find that we can purchase new propellors for five dollars each. What do you think of the possibility of selling propellors as souvenirs for ten or fifteen dollars. It seems to us that by advertisement a good many ought to be sold, expecially to ex-pilots who trained during the war, and were unable to obtain a prop. We have sent for two, to try it out-- and our order calls for one 4- bladed seaplane prop, and a two bladed for Gnomes.
