Regarding Captain Arthur R. Brooks, Air Service, U.S.A 

Graduate of Framingham Public Schools 

Graduate of Mass. Institute of Technology, 1917, Degree of B.S. 

Enlisted U.S.Army July 23, 1917. 

Received flying training in Canada and Texas and France, all types of planes. 

Passed Reserve Military Aviators' test January 26, 1918. 

Commissioned Second Lieut.  February 25, 1918. 

With Amer. Exped. Forces in France from March 12th 1918 to July 29th 1919. 

ON the Front from May 4th 1918 with Second Pursuit Group. 

Served as flying Officer in 139th pursuit squadron , under the"Ace" David E. Putnam. 

Promotes to Flight Commander in 22nd Pursuit Squadron, August 1918. 

Promoted to 1st Lieut. and later to Captain .Made Commanding Officer of 22nd Squadron. 

Officially credited with the destruction of six enemy planes and destroyed four others that were too far behind the lines to be confirmed. Consequentl an "Ace". 
Received the Distinguished Service Cross and a personal citation from the First Army AIr Service Commander. 

At present Commanding Officer of the 95th Pursuit Squadron, the first to operate on the American front in France 

103 hours over lines. Total time to date, hundred hours is
330 hours.
