As Smithey puts it mildly to say that we were a little blue this A.M. you know one will once in a while get that way. Well in the morn I was because the natives here were beating around the bush and not comming[[coming]] to the point of parting with the cold necessary cash. Well, the International had three machines at Western Aoro's[[?]] and no pilot. We have three pilots, no machine, and little money. Pop Long I have always considered a cgood friend of mine and he has done a great deal towards getting me going in this game cause it was with him when he was with Curtiss Co and had the chance to become shift[[?]] pilot for him June 200-800 per month. Now we are greatly in need of some quick backing and while we have not as yet come to any definite contract it looks as if B.B.&S will get something for nothing. I do not know if I[[it?]] can be arranged for me to pilot one of their machines or not cause it means that we have to fix a whole
