weather remain. If you have any ideas on the subject of raising another five hundred please let us have them. We are going like hell to get the plane in shape and raise above sum inside of ten days-- and get busy taking in the shekels, for which we have been preparing for the past seven or eight months.
The machine is a daisy-- absolutely new French Le Rhone, if we are any judge, and the fuselage is fine, too. All this would have cost about five thousand dollars, early in the Spring. We are going to insure her to protect Huffman on the unpaid balance, and also ourselves, and will do most of the assembling ourselves, as we have not arranged for a mechanic, and put in an extra seat so that our income will be at maximum. All this with tools, paint, and little things, will take a little extra money, so we figure we should have at least five or six hundred dollars more.
Mr. Huffman has kindly arranged for Banks and the writer to stay at a Farm House near the drome, where we have a room gratis, and have all the fancy farm visuals, for the price of nine per week, including cow's milk and gravy.
