C. OREN SMITH, TREAS.

June 25th, 1920.

Dear Brooks;

Glad to get your letter.

The News you give with reference to the drop in Avro prices is great. It is what we thought might happen, but never expected to see them drop so low.

We have determined to hang on BB&S until the last dog is hung. We will certainly win out sometime, and we did not get into this proposition to loose out. At the present time we have no arrangement with the International except to receive 25% of the proceeds on the machine Banks operates. We are waiting to see what sort of a proposition Huffman of the International will make us, regarding a machine, but at the same time endeavoring to raise more money. In connection with the liabilities of the company wish to state that should we be obliged to dissolve we believe we are in a position to repay all investors except ourselves. However, even tho our morale is damned low we are a long way from giving up the ship, and we intend to plug away until we have a machine of our own, as we are positive there is a mint to be made in passenger carrying.

Smith has been to Fitchburg and Concord, NH interviwing Chambers of Commerce, regarding use of landing fields, and the International will probably go to both places shortly, and we are to operate one plane on the 25% basis or on a better arrangement if we can make it. We fully realize that our reputations are at stake in this proposition and we intend to do everything in our power to make a go of it.

Thanks for the information enclosed in your letter, and we hope you will keep us posted on any further inside dope that you happen across. In the mean time we are plugging to get our proposition going.

Enclosed you will find a couple of replies to our campaign for funds.
Cheerio for this time, and keep the morale going strong,

C Oren Smith
