Our immediate opportunity is to employ our first machines in PASSENGER CARRYING for pleasure. The recognized charge for carrying passengers for flights of this nature is ONE DOLLAR per minute. The AVRO being a two passenger machine would double the gross income. Statistics gathered shows that twenty to thirty per cent of the population of New England will desire to fly or will have flown by the end of 1920 at this price. At least ONE MILLION PEOPLE will desire a flight. Assuming that each passenger will remain in the air ten minutes, at a minimum, this would give a gross earning of ten million dollars. THERE IS MORE OF THIS WORK TO BE DONE THAN ALL COMPANIES FORMED OR FORMING CAN POSSIBLY MANAGE TO TAKE CARE OF. How much of this class of passenger carrying we capture depends on the energy displayed in finnncing our organization and securing our first machines.

However, once the novelty has worn off people will not be willing to pay this amount for what is only a sensation. Steps MUST be taken to develope a more permanent and useful side of the business. ULTIMATE SUCCESS CAN ONLY BE ATTAINED IF IT IS DEMONSTRATED THAT THE AEROPLANE CAN RENDER A NECESSARY SERVICE AT A REASONABLE PRICE. In other words the successful aircraft company must build on solid lines.

For future developement we plan to carry out the following program;

1. SPECIAL LONG DISTANCE FLIGHTS in the nature of taxi service, to Flroida, to the Berkshires, to Bermuda, Thousand Islands, for pleasure and business purposes, for one dollar per mile, or a stipulated sum for the trip.
EXAMPLE  Recently Mrs. S. E. J. Cox traveled by aeroplane from Houston, Texas to New York with her son and a pilot, a distance of 2500 miles. Below are some interesting statistics concerning this trip;
Actual flying time for 2500 miles--- 19 hours 45 minutes.
Consumption of oil ---------------- Two gallons
Consumption of gasoline ------------ 360 gallons
Ten landings were made.
Cost of entire trip ---------------- less than $275.00, including hotel bills, meals, oil, gas and incidentals for three persons.
COST PER MILE PER PERSON ---- three and two thirds cents.

This is positive evidence that the aeroplane can successfully compete with the railroad.

2. ESTABLISHMENT OF A EXPRESS AND PASSENGER ROUTE.

The officers of this company have investigated the cost and maintenance of a route operating between Augusta,
