Note on Museum blanks.

The convenience of having blanks and books of inter-related sizes, both for use, packing and filing, has been admitted on all hands and was early inaugurated by the Smithsonian Institution in its publications.

The coördination and regulation of the affairs of the National Museum which has made so much progress during the last two years naturally suggests the application of this principle to its blanks, hardly any two of which have hitherto been of the same size and shape.
