My dear Jo:
Just a line to tell you that we have done our best and will go on doing our best to help Miss Chase. We have gotten her two orders and given a Tea to show her first two portraits. Unfortunately, the people were very disappointed by what she turned out, and it won't be as easy as I had hoped.

The object of this letter is really just to ask you how you are getting along. If you have a few moments drop me a line, to give me some word from you.

Kindly believe me
Cordially yours,
(René Seligmann)
