Mrs. Federick L. Ehrman
Armonk Village, New York

My dear Mrs. Ehrman:

Mr. Robert Levy telephoned me a few weeks ago to say that he had been kind enough to suggest my name in connection with a double portrait of your children which you were contemplating having painted.

Needless to say, I should be most eager to have an opportunity for such a commission as I am a very fond of children and have on many occasions painted most satisfactory portrait of them.

As Mr. Levy told me that he would probably be out of town this week, I thought of dropping you these few lines to save time, to ask if you would not care to drop in to my studio some day in the near future, preferably during the middle of the day when the light is best, although with Daylight Saving Time now in force, it is still possible to see paintings fairly well during the latter part of the afternoon, if you find this time more convenient.

I've gathered together one or two children's portraits which I will be very glad to show you, together with other work that I have recently finished, and it would afford me a great deal of pleasure to receive your visit and show you my work.

I hope I may look forward to you shortly, in anticipating the pleasure of meeting you, I am

Yours very sincerely,

MARIA DE KAMMERER
