Dear Anna: 

I hope you returned home safely after a pleasant trip. 

Today allow, me to confirm to you in the following the conversation we had last Friday in regard to the coming sale of the Collection of the late Mr. Mortimer L. Schiff at Christie's in London on June 22nd to 24th, and for which you gave me the following purchasing orders. 

In order to facilitate the financial end of it, I have figured, for your information, the limits you gave me in dollars, also in English Pounds as well as in Guineas as, as you may know, the bidding is being made in Guineas. These quotations might fluctuate very slightly an were figured on the basis of [[strikethrough]]$4.75[[/strikethrough]]$4.95 to the Pound. 

(a.) No. 29 in the illustrated catalogue 
A terra-cotta group representing. "Maternity" by Joseph Carlex Marin. 14" high x 10" deep x 9" wide. Formerly in the Collection of the Marquis de Karrefort. 
Limit $3,500 or ₤ 708 or 674 Guineas 

(b) No. 62 in the illustrated catalogue 
A pair of Louis XVI Commodes (Topino). 56" wide. Formerly in the Collection of Comte Moise de Camondo. 
Limit $12,500 or ₤ 2.525 or 2,405 Guineas 

(c) Two magnificent gouaches by N. Lavreince (the catalogue for paintings and drawings will be sent to you upon arrival in the States). 
(1) "L'Assemblée au Salon". Gouache 13" x 18-1/2"
