Dear Mr. Waegen:-

Three days have passed since I received the beautiful compact. It's just too lovely and I'm crazy about it. You were most kind to sent it to me and please believe me when I say it is appreciated and so is the thought that promoted its sending.

The bill from the Everglades Club amounts to $3.25 and I am enclosing the "remains" for I inadvertently tore them instead of the envelope.

Carl says that you covered the bill for cleaning in the money you gave him so apparently that is taken care of and he also advised me that he had gotten some shorts for Mr. Dillman so apparently that is checked off too.

People are leaving Palm Beach in droves and in fact the town seems so quiet it is pathetic and it all happened so quickly. Sort of takes ones breath away. Mr. Dillman is improving some each day. Still is kept very quiet and has not been about except to go to the Doctors. Visitors are still limited and so you see he is following the orders laid down by the Doctors. This will mean much to him as it requires quiet and peace to build a new foundation of health. Other than this there is no news unless the fact that it is mid-summer heat now can be classified as news.

Again my thanks and with all good wishes,

Sincerely,
Georgena Girvin

I am including Greetings from everyone, as I know they would have me do if they knew I was writing to you!
