My Heart and I

Your outstretched hand is waiting for my heart
But, I am going to keep my heart my own;
For much too long now I have been alone.
And if I give my heart to you, we'll part
Soon, you and I, and there'll [[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] be only me.
I've got to get to know my heart again
Acquaint it with myself, my thoughts, and then
Atempt to find if we can both agree

In loving trees, and sky, and sun, [[strikethrough]] and mist [[/strikethrough]] the sea,
And [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] misty nights, all things really real.
I've let my heart get far away and roam
And [[?how]] some things that aren't loved by me.
It's time my heart and I should mutually feel.
Oh heart! Stay here a while, it's good to have you home!
